Our Story
Too often, talented individuals are unaware of the powerful opportunities within skilled trades or unsure how to begin. That's why we exist. We believe choosing a career shouldn't feel overwhelming or uncertain. It should feel informed, intentional, and achievable. Based in Kentwood, we help people ages 15-38 discover and pursue careers in the skilled trades through speaker-led sessions, clear training pathways, and a supportive, 
connected community.
Mission and Purpose
The corporation is organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. Its mission is to empower individuals, youth, and families particularly those from underserved and underrepresented communities by expanding access to education, workforce development, mentorship, and economic opportunity. Providing workforce development, vocational and trade skills training, career readiness programs, and educational resources that prepare individuals for sustainable employment and long term economic success.
Activities include, but are not limited to: Offering mentorship, leadership development, and youth empowerment programs that promote personal growth, academic achievement, and community engagement. Supporting underserved communities by increasing access to employment opportunities, job placement services, entrepreneurship education, and financial literacy programs.
Organizing cultural, educational, and community-building events that foster unity, inclusion, and cross-cultural understanding. Building partnerships with educational institutions, employers, community organizations, and public agencies to create pathways to opportunity and strengthen community resilience. Conducting any lawful activities consistent with the corporation's charitable and educational purposes that advance community development, economic stability, and equal opportunity for all.
